There was once 230 tons of gold in the gold room

Went to Erfurt this weekend and had a pretty good time although there was a festival and the streets were very crowded and it was hard to get around. I wish I could have got to go to Weimer too but it is flooded so we couldn't go. On Sunday we went to Europe's largest salt mine which was quite awesome and a great experience. They had an awesome light show which is probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen!

I have met lots of new friends over here from all over the country and different parts of the world. We hang out most of the time and walk around the streets of Schmalkalden or go have a drink at the local pub. Sometimes we through a football around and have Germans join in. It is funny to see them throw the football at first because they aren't use to it, after a while they catch on. When we are in the hostel we watch CNN world because it is the only channel in English so I can tell you about everything there is to know about Syria and the riots in Turkey because it is constantly on. This is the last week of regular classes and then I have two weeks of German language classes which should be interesting.
