Made it to school in Schmalkaden without any problems. The airport and trains were easily navigable. Some things that I have noticed that are different here are that for the most part Germany is a very eco-friendly nation. Recycling glass and plastic bottles is highly encouraged here and it is kind of weird because they reuse the bottles instead of crushing them and making them again. So at times you can tell you have a bottle that has been used many times. Some other things that are different than in America is that drinking beer is widely accepted at anytime of the day. They even sell beer in the cafeterias, they don't care what you do as long as you don't drink in class for respect of the teachers. Not many schools in America have beerathlons where you have a team of four and run two miles while chugging 20 beers as fast as you can. Those two things are the biggest differences I have seen so far. Tonight I eat in a castle so hopefully I will have some pictures on here soon.
